Still thirsty for more?
If you have completed the Use Your Paths Challenge and would like to do more to help your local path network and the Ramblers' Association, here are some ideas:
Carry on using your local paths
By using your paths you are already doing the most important thing to keep them open and usable. Paths that are used regularly are less likely to get overgrown and other problems are spotted sooner so that they can be sorted out quickly.
Take your friends out on local paths
Many people don't realise how easy it is to enjoy green open spaces by using their local paths. The more people who know and value their local paths the better.
Report all path problems you come across
It's important that any problems on paths are reported to the relevant council. You can also report problems to the Ramblers' Association. Click here for further information.
Make a donation to the Ramblers' Association
Working to keep paths open and usable across England and Wales, the Ramblers' Association is the largest organisation for walkers in the UK. Consider supporting the work of the Ramblers by making a donation. Click here for further information.
Join the Ramblers' Association
As a charity, receiving no government funding, the Ramblers' Association relies on its members to fund its core work. There are a number of membership benefits, including our quarterly magazine - 'walk'. By joining the Ramblers you'll also be in a position to help with path maintenance tasks or by becoming a local footpath worker. Click here for more information.
